About Andrew Karnowski

I am interested in multiple sports and activities, and have found my passion in pursuing them. I was born and raised in Kansas and until I turned 18 just about the only thing to do was skateboard. I was not very good, but it was fun. I came across the Kansas State University Parachute Club in 2005 and found a new passion, skydiving. After a year of skydiving, I began to pursue BASE jumping. Making my first jump at Bridge Day 2006. Base jumping took over my life, taking a two month trip to Cincinatti to learn more about. I eventually decided to move to one the meccas of base jumping in Twin Falls, ID; Home of the only bridge where base jumping is publicly accepted year round.

When did you start in your sport: I started skydiving in 2005, which progressed into base jumping in October 2006.

Best moment so far in your sport: So many to choose from; Helping others earn BASE Numbers, Bungee-BASE 3-way, Jumping a turbine on the blade side, first jump back after injury.

Why do you participate in your sport: I enjoy the concept of seeing and doing things that "normal" people don't get the privledge of ever experiencing.

What are your goals in your sport: I would like to continue having fun while working in the industry. A lot of people forget how to have fun even though they're doing what they love.
